Aphrodite Fountain

The HenFeathers Aphrodite Fountain, one of our largest, is a beautiful classic fountain that transforms any space into an ancient center courtyard and adds the tranquility of water into a home, courtyard, piazza, patio, garden setting or entrance drive. Standing over 5 and 1/2 feet tall, the fountain features an exquisitely sculpted Aphrodite holding a graceful robe overhead and exquisite flowing hair in a art deco style. She stands on a ball with four fountain heads within an octogonal basin. Truely, this fountain will be the focal point of any setting within she stands.

Aphrodite is an ancient Greek goddess associated with love, beauty, pleasure, passion and procreation. She is identified with the planet Venus, which is named after the Roman goddess Venus, with whom Aphrodite was extensively syncretized. Aphrodite's major symbols include myrtles, roses, doves, sparrows, and swans. The ancient Greek poet/philosopher Hesiod believed the name Aphrodite derived from ancient Greek word aphrós (ἀφρός) meaning "sea-foam", hence Aphrodite is literally "risen from the foam."

This distinctive fountain is hand cast and hand finished in our USA foundry in extremely durable fiberstone. Fiberstone is a mixture of sand and stones cast into the surface to give the appearance of aged stone. Reinforced with a fiberglass backing, it remains lighter and less fragile than concrete. Guaranteed outdoor durability.
