La Wave Weave Planter | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Click to Enlarge The La Wave Weave Planter, a charming oval planter with a wonderful classical motif. It features two ancient relief designs both from the Minoan period of Ancient Greece. On the outside is a classic weave pattern and on the inside around the top is the famous wave that is found on the Minoan wall paintings discovered in the buried city of Akrotiri on Santorini. Like Pompeii, Italy, Akrotiri was buried in ash when the volcanic island of Santorini blew up in 1300 BC. This vessel looks great standing on its own or planted up with geraniums, ivies or florals and is perfect for patio corners, along a garden walk, by the front steps, on a window ledge and practically any other indoor/outdoor garden setting. This distinctive planter is meticulously hand cast and hand finished in our USA foundry in extremely durable fiberstone. Fiberstone is a mixture of sand and stones cast into the surface to give the appearance of aged stone. Reinforced with a fiberglass backing, it remains lighter and less fragile than concrete. Guaranteed outdoor durability.
