Williamsburg Tayloe House Urn

As part of our Williamsburg Collection the Williamsburg Tayloe House Urn is a beautiful design with classic proportions. The urn features a carved design about the urn beneath a simple bull nose rim. The urns rests on a short pedestal which connects to a square base. With its classic profile and standing on the Classic Tall Pedestal base (sold seperately), the Williamsburg Tayloe House Urn will bring a unique design statement to your garden setting, veranda or entrance. Meticulously hand cast in cast stone with a hand finished patina. Guaranteed outdoor durability.

Standing 17" inches tall this bowl urn is a substantial vessel, but, not too large. Use with one of our pedestal base or on its own. The urn is shown here on the Classic Tall Pedestal. The Williamsburg Tayloe House Urn is shown here in Alpine Stone (AS), but, is available in all the finishes shown below. Make your finish choice by selecting from the options list below. Classic Tall Pedestal

The Classic Tall Pedestal is the matching base for the Williamsburg Tayloe House Urn. The Classic Pedestal is available in two sizes, short and tall. The tall pedestal is over 24" tall and when matched with the Williamsburg Tayloe House Urn the total height is an commanding 41", almost 3 1/2' in height, making the pair a striking focal point to a garden niche, patio, entrance drive or an indoor emtrance foyer. The Classic Tall Pedestal is 24" tall and with a 13" sq. usuable top it is suitable for many of our urns, pots and planters as well as the Williamsburg Strapwork Leaf Urn. Both pedestals are equipped with a hole for drainage. The pedestals are meticulously hand cast in cast stone with a hand finished patina. Use with the Williamsburg Tayloe House Urn or with many of our other urns. The Classic Pedestal is shown here on the left in Alpine Stone (AS) and the tall pedestals are shown above in Antique Stone and Nero Nuovo, but, they also available in all the finishes shown below. Williamsburg Tayloe House

The Tayloe House is an 18th-century house in Williamsburg, Virginia. Located on E. Nicholson Street just east of Queen Street, the house was built from 1752 to 1759 and was restored in 1950–1951 by Colonial Williamsburg. The house was purchased by John Tayloe II in 1759 from Dr. James Carter, resident surgeon of Williamsburg. Tayloe was an influential member of the King's Council under Lord Dunmore and of the first Republic Council under Governor Patrick Henry. Tayloe was a member of the House of Burgesses of Virginia in 1774.
